Nancy White and Debbie Sioui are a teacher-team from Lafayette, California, who received a County Technology Academy Grant from the Dean and Margaret Lesher Foundation in July, 2001. This grant has enabled Nancy and Debbie to collaborate on the Great Government for Kids website.

Nancy White has taught in the elementary classroom for over twenty years, in grades 3, 4, and 6, and currently is the Differentiated Instruction Coordinator for the Lafayette School District in Lafayette, California. Nancy is a leader in curriculum development in her district. She originated and organized her district's Professional Development Committee and served as its chairperson for four years.

Debbie Sioui is a third grade teacher at Happy Valley School in Lafayette, California. She has utilized the Internet to teach a variety of curriculum subjects. In 1996, she authored her first website: Lafayette On-line, which provided information about the history of Lafayette. In that year, she was named Lafayette's nominee for Teacher of the Year. Debbie has been a curriculum development leader in her district by serving two years as Professional Development Committee chairperson.
