School Touchstones continued

Our school's Custodial Engineer: Many students spent one period of their day learning vocational skills by working with our custodial engineer.

Speech Therapist: This staff member is here every school day, because we have many special needs students. He connects with many students on campus.

Cafeteria Staff: The cooks and managers of the school lunch program provide a comfortable setting for students to learn basic skills in food preparation. This is a great prevocational experience. Please see a description of their activities.

Office Staff: The secretaries and office manager offer prevocational experiences to eighth grade students. Please see a page devoted to the social skills they teach.

Police Liaison: Like many other schools in California, our school has a member of the local police force assigned to work positively and proactively with students.

School Psychologist: The school psychologist provides counseling to students with pressing emotional problems that affect their school performance.
