• Many of the classes at our school have TVators. These were used during the role plays to display word processing activities. During a reenactment of making an appointment, the student receiving the information typed it onto an calendar which was shown to the entire class.
  • Some of the teachers maintain a professional web space on the Internet. Often this is a place where homework is posted. For the purpose of teaching social skills, however, photographs of people interacting were uploaded. These images were viewed in class by connecting an Internet-linked computer to the TVator. The students could write about the events either in the classroom, the library or at home.
  • Clearly the thought of using pagers and cell phones engages the students.
  • Role plays were frequently videotaped. "You students watched an evaluated the way our players acted in person. "Let's take a second look using our video recording."
  • Use the images of the role play for creating handouts like the captioning activity in the student activities section.
