Assessment:

1. Students will write descriptive words on lists.
2. Teacher will observe students working productively in cooperative learning groups.
3. Students will independently write a story using descriptive words from lists in complete sentences about one of the pictures.

Other activities for this lesson:
1. Look up each adjective in a Thesaurus and make a list of synonyms
2. Arrange words in ABC order and separate by word parts (syllables)
3. Students can continue independent lists of words that include lists made by groups as well as individual words created by students.
