Objective: The student will demonstrate

• Identify Need
• Introductory Activity: Brainstorm types of interviews
• Define Steps and Sequences of Skill
1. Dress like you would for the job.
2. Look at the interviewer and address him by his formal name.
3. Follow tips on body language:
* Keep arms, legs, and feet relaxed and uncrossed. If you are wearing
a jacket, open it up.
* Move within 6 to 8 feet of the interviewer. Lean slightly forward.
* Pay attention to the interviewer's manner. Is he talking slowly
or quickly? Copy his affect.
4. Thank the person for the interview. "Thank you for considering
me."

• Applications: 8th Grade "I-Search" Have student
write a letter requesting an interview. OR Teacher may b ring in
the Want Ads from the newspaper. Have the students write an email
cover letter for their resume.
