County. Although this site is designed primarily for grades 1,2, and 3,
all other information found here, except for grade level standards, is
applicable to most other grades. As you will see there is a wealth of
places to visit. Links to web sites have also been provided for you to
be able to find additional information. Many areas have web sites that
explain their field trip application process as well as a plethora of
other information. In addition, grade level standards for grades 1,2,
and 3 are incorporated within each site description.
Standards
Each field trip description is accompanied by California State
Department of Education Standards for life sciences and social sciences
that are appropriate for that field trip. However, your choice of activities
at a field trip site will determine which standards will apply. Also included
on this web site is information that will help in planning your science
field trip--information such as addresses and phone numbers where possible.
